I was messing around with the lobster buff.
With a range slightly larger than a defender (or a picket if thats what it's called now) and fall damage protection, lobsters are better than ever.

Here's some things i found out
1)Jumpjets take priority over lobster launch
2)Launching archers and having the archers attack while being launched will cause some of them to fling around

With perfect staggering and proper targeting, in theory, four lobsters should be able to not only ascend to unlimited altitudes, but also move horizontally in a controlled fashion.

Combine this with any payload you want to rain from the sky, and speedmetal meta changes (probably with lobster added to banned units list).

Compared to newtons, this should be much more precise, adjustable in realtime, and allows simultaneous mass launches.

Edit: ah nevermind. Lobster cannot launch itself. So you drop a lobster for each stage.

I'd suggest looking at Placeholder as well if you are trying to construct orbital battle stations.

I just found a way to increase the throw range of a single Lobster to like 4000 range. :P
But I won't tell you. :D

Btw, units take damage when they hit the ground when they are thrown that far.
Is that a bug? :P

Impact damage protection - represented by the glow - only lasts 5 seconds, intentionally.

Is my reading of your hax correct in that you can do this with Skuttles but not with Snitches?

Who mentioned Snitches and Skuttles?
Skuttles doesn't have jump jets so it is not like they can jump while being in the air anyway.

While I will try to avoid patching out cool physics things, I think making Newton ramps obsolete is a bit much. I'm fixing the out-of-range target leading bug.

I targeted a Swift that is outside the range of the Lobster and moving against the Lobster. The Lobster will then lead the target and fire before it enters its' range. The units would still be thrown against the current location of the Swift.
