Depth charge static on cliff top

I made some on Akilon Wastelands, expecting them to work. Instead they sit on the hill, watching the boats below them and doing nothing. Was super frustrating. Can they be 'fixed' so they can fire from a cliff top? If it's intended behaviour then I will self-harm ;-).

I think this is not urichin only problem. Try making stardust. I had same problem on some other map when turrets were way above water. This shouldnt be recent issue (at least month old).

Stardust can intentionally not aim that far downwards. The gun is close to the ground so it is physically impossible.

I think it's fine for other turrets. The issue I had was that ship cons could come right up to the base of the cliffs, not being attacked by the turrets on the clifftop, and then power-build turrets on the top of the cliffs. Was very frustrating that there seems little option to defend against mass construction boats in that situation with static defence.

Also from a 'realism' POV, the launcher doesn't need to 'look/aim' downwards, gravity will take care of getting the depthcharge/torpedo into the water :)

Fundamentally, the issue with Urchin on cliffs has nothing to do with aiming down. The issue is that the torpedo needs enough horizontal velocity to clear the lip of the cliff but that with too much horizontal velocity it will overshoot the target. These competing restrictions mean that there will always be some cliff height that is in its shadow.

Can the torpedo be smart and adjust it's horizontal velocity to "end up in water" ?
