I've noticed some irritating behavior related to the 'Pause' function and Save Game in single player.

First, please do not automatically un-pause the game after Save Game is complete. Just because I'm done saving the game doesn't mean I'm prepared to instantly resume control.

Second, unlike when using the 'Escape' key menu, the game does not automatically pause when using Save Game command via hotkey. It should pause.

Also, the game automatically unpauses when I close the F10 menu in SP. I'd prefer only manual unpausing. This is the behavior that disturbs me most in ZK currently. Also see this thread.[Spoiler]

You should also try to use "-" and "+" keys in the game. It definetely improves performance in a ranked 1v1 game of Zero-K.

Yeah speed changes should probably be disabled in competitive games, I thought they were last I checked and was surprised when someone changed the speed...

Also the game automatically unpauses when you activate and deactivate the lobby overlay. It can be quite annoying when you're waiting for a rejoining player or want to adjust some settings and it constantly unpauses.

My idea and concerns on it, crossposted from GitHub issue:

However, I am 99.999% sure that if we do that, someone will get stuck in the paused state after using the menu and not know how to unpause, despite the big (but mostly transparent) pause message in the center of the screen.

Solution:
Make automatic unpausing an option configurable in the F10 menu as it was before.

You could even deactivate automatic unpausing as a default setting if show pause screen is activated by default and a text "Press Pause key to continue." is added to the pause screen. This is also possible if you don't want to make the effort to add the pause setting to the F10 menu again.

If automatic unpausing is supposed to be the default setting, you can still make it an option.

This was fixed. Matchmaker games have a minimum speed of 1.0 and a maximum speed of 1.0.
