I leveled up by playing another mod

I won a game of tech annihilation and leveled up instantly once the game finished. It was not in springie's server/host, it was in a private host from someone in the USA.
I don't think my elo changed though.
Is this normal? The game does not appear in the list of last played games in zero k.
"Nightwatch Congratulations [I]Klitowitcz! You just leveled up to level 9. http://zero-k.info/Users/Detail/224222"

Edit: It says I lost a game in 10 minutes: Nightwatch View full battle details and demo at http://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/79404. But I never played that game, I don't even have the map! What is this?
Funny.

I think I know how.

That was an FFA game that started while you were in the room. You never connected for that one -> auto-lose.

I think this also explains how you leveled up out of nowhere.

You are right, that's it. My zero k lobby froze and when I came back I saw that the room was playing so I didn't even reenter, thinking I wasn't considered as a player and instead, I played to another mod. Sigh.

Should it really change elo or affect XP for any player which has never joined?

I heard about a python-game-stats program/script - can we not extract who has joined at any time as a player?
