That is why they need help. We can't do anything here to make it work on mac. Once Spring works ZK will work. To have a chance of getting it to work on mac you have to post in the Spring forum, maybe your problem will be fixed but at least a bug report will contribute to development.

Does spring work on *BSD via linux compatibility layer or how it is called? If yes maybe same setup might be used on MAC? I dont know how much differs mac vs current *BSD nor about that compatibility layer , but at least read somewhere that this compatibility layer slowdowns programs just by few percents.

sure, if you code the compatibility layer. If you want it to run on BSD your better off attempting to compile it there.

Platypus923 the mac install guides are quite well written, you are best off attempting to follow them and reporting any problems you have to that forum (not here as we cannot help you)

weblobby.springrts.com can give you access to the spring server for chat and requesting real time help. use /join #springlobby to get help with the lobby and ask in #main for everything else.

MAC isnt made to run games like windows. For the same price you could have gotten some supergaming pc that runs even the newest and most heavy games on max.

Nonsense.

This is not a cause why installation on MAC is nightmare I guess. It is same as saying linux is for servers only, simply there is not enough devs with macs who would like to make proper port of spring and lobby.

Then why are those apple computers like 3x more expensive? I played games on one which was like 3x more expensive than my pc and it lagged alot more in games than on my pc.

Mac simply isnt made to be used for games.

lol people, mac is mostly higher quality than acer for example, yes they overpriced, but still its not reason for spring to not run. ITS DEVELOPERS! DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS!
