I seen it happen alot of times that my razor kisses and cobra's refused to fire on enemy air while it was clear they where not blocked. Even confirmed this on chicken games there seems to be something wrong with targeting. Its a bit random sometimes but often it takes like 5-10 secs before my razor kiss/cobra finally started firing on the pigeons.

razors are very easily blocked by any surrounding unit.

i completely agree with the flak however.

i had a razor kiss and the nearest unit was like 200-300 range away and it didnt fire on a pigeon that was flying over it. Thats simply wrong...

Also after a while (bit random) they seem to be working normally again.

I've seen this a fair bit, though one time under a cloaking field, so it may be related to that.

My defenders were not firing (mostly at land) A LOT two stables ago..

I have had the same problem many times, the only way I was able to get my AA to fire was by setting the targets.

I applaud jseah at making the gadget but somewhere along the way it became badly broken.

The gadget is not enabled. This static AA not firing has nothing to do with AA micro.

Yes, it did have screwy behaviour (which I think has been fixed), but once you turn it off, the effects go away. This is an engine issue.

And yes, I have noticed that there were times when I could give an attack order and have AA towers fire, when they did not do so automatically.

Cobra and Razor has "badTargetCategory == [[FIXEDWING]]," Might be related? (I'm not sure I never played with this setting before)

*also below it is: "onlyTargetCategory = [[FIXEDWING GUNSHIP]],"

I think that means it can only fire at planes (fixed-wing) and gunship (onlyTargetCategory), but prefers to shoot gunships when both are in firing range (badTargetCategory).
