--- INTRO ---

If someone want a Good gunship the choice is Krow.
A good Ship is Battlelord, but we must assist him with some AA and Sub
On land A Demitrant or the Banta as a cheaper choise is unblockable.
For this unit we need tons of Infiltrators or 3 to 4 ultimatums

Only Sub is difficult because of Snipersubs but there are Anti-Sub Ships too.

--- BUILDINGS ---

The most buildings can be build on ground not water or Air, but there are some units they can be build under or on water too.

But a Stinger - can be build on water - shouold be more expensive than on land - because of the floating feature.

--- MY IDEA ---

You can build a floating, flying, or flatten ground / sub plattform instead of terraform the area.

Sub platforms should deny that buildings for ground can fire on it if it is not supported for this unit / unit type.

--- DESCRIPTION ---

There can be different types of plattforms:

Platforms who allow to build buildings on it - different areas.

Platforms with armor bonus if a building is on it ( Fortress )

Plattforms with feets to move ( a unit with a building on it )

:D "A dirtbox with an glaive on it and the dirtboxes HP - costs 80"

and flying platformss who can move to the opponent and transport Aegis and Annhis, but only if it survive the AA

--- NEW TACTICS ---

Orbital, Air and Sub can get a new Part in your tactic.

Lol it would mean you could create new unit that way.
For fast deploying of defense structure (like the platform) isnt good because it needs two steps - queue structure, wait for it, then queue defenses.

Same is true for terraform.

Your idea is also very complex (possibly impossible) to implement.

I think some of the existing structures should just get floating mode too .. or auto build with pontons for some small extra price (if extra price is needed).

This are the main reasons for my post:

- reduce the terraform needed ( reduces lags at pathing scripts )

- have fixed size, so bases can be build each game in the same way

- reduce the floating ability of some buildings and add extra cost for floating in a easy way ( after plattforms are avaiable )

- reduce the health of strong defenses, but spend us the ability to upgrade EVERY building with a prebuild plattform with walls and a building area ( terraform is to inaccurate )

- flying plattforms can allow units or buildings to fire from them, allow the transport of multiple units and are usefull if they transport nano turrets out of attacked bases ( They can also contain the Cloack tower or fabs, so the units don't have to walk a long way to the front )

- round plattforms with walls can be used to build a single unit to protect Aegis from walking enemys they try to get under the shield.

---

the best are plattforms with multiple levels to build Anti-Ground on the ground level and the AA on the second one.

maybe it's possible to dock a air plattform to the grounded one and dock a second air plattform above this ...

the high difference should be the difference of the largest unit and additional a fixed size.

vertical weapons can not be used if a plattform is docked to the weapon containig one

This can reduce the Micro-managment for terraforming.

I think it would be very helpfull to add a high Structure for a Stardust - like the high 150 to 250 - maybe as the center of your base or for a radar if you want.

It can be used to cloack Air units in your base with sneaker more efficient too.

Or it can be used to get a Nano-Tower to repair Gunships befor it would "repair" the current factory unit to build it.

MORE USEFULL =D

It's more usefull if you can save the configuration on this platform and add it into your build menu.

Example: build the platform and then the units in the order you select it.
