Lobster as a unit needs to be removed.

Its intended use is scaling walls with amph units. Ramp terraform can do the same thing.

Its unintended use is flinging high alpha units (Scallop) at units which cant defend, or capturing enemy units.

Without lobster I think sea would gain some semblance of balance.

I think generally Lobster impinges too much on Jumpbot territory.

or make it so it cant target units that have been thrown for a while and can only throw units mostly up and not across

I don't want it removed, but I do think friendly thrown units should have to wait 1/2 a second after landing before they can fire & no firing midair. This would not effect the land battleship :)

What if the lobster was a building? still land battleship, no unit stealing, and can still be used to throw units up cliffs into bases if the defenders arent careful.

I'm not a fan of lobsters. It would be nice if higher massed units traveled slower and lower mass faster and the lobster itself had a total mass throughput rate.

I like lobster as an enabler of surprise amph attacks, I dislike lobster in every other use. Its also probably too cheap atm, it should cost more than 200-ish metal to get the ability to amphibious assault anywhere.

Maybe just neeeeerf it. Make it bigger and more expensive. Give it a larger range for throwing allies, but in exchange increase the reload dramatically, to something like 20-30 secs. They could get more height during throws to mitigate bouncing-off-hills related frustrations.

just disarm units for as long as they are mid air and a second or so after they land. Currently scallops are stupid op with lobsters.

Many of the support units - Lobber, black holes, area cloakers, area shields, thunderbird - are game-bendingly powerful, and high density games usually end up revolving around them.

Not sure the lobber is strictly better than any of those units, if you had to choose one or the other. It's just dominant at sea, and highlights the lack of such a force multiplier in the ship & hover facs.

Incidentally, although it seems to get no use, I find it strange that amphibious factory also gets the magical teleportation robot. Amphibious robots have too many magic movement toys =)

Maybe Djinn should be moved into the jumpbot factory, since its also the specialists factory. I don't think amphibious bots really need them, they have lobster. It might actually get used then.

they do in order to fully uitilize the water regen and make up 4 slow walk speed on big maps. Almost noone uses it.

Lobster still didn't offered for amphs good arty replacement. In end it become annoying support/troll unit and hardly to counter. At lest devs removed in air throwing.
