Challenge - option for MM 1v1 games?

I think it would be great if there was the option to challenge someone to a MM game. For example, by right-clicking the players name, and getting the option "challenge". If I clicked "challenge", the player would get a message "X has challenged you to a 1v1 game, do you agree?" or smthing like that.

This would be useful for a few reasons:

- You could get a rematch with the same person without risking either one of you being matched with somebody else by the MM.
- You could challenge someone high-ranking to a game, instead of having both of you sitting in the queue without ever getting matched.
- This would provide a handy way for agreeing to play a best of 3 or best of 5 MM, without the random risk of getting matched with some third person in the process.

Few further ideas:

- I could only play a challenge game against the same person X times a day, to prevent any point-spamming abuse with ranked games.
- There should be the option to "block challenges coming from this person" in order to prevent people from harrassing others by spamming challenges.

Sounds familiar.

Seriously, I back this idea.

I agree. Why is no-one on MM? Maybe more people will play it if there are lists of player names and ranks they have accesible in MM

This would be good, but not much more than what we have at the moment. How is this a significant improvement over a PM and a custom room? There is certainly benefit in reducing clicks.

From my earlier description of it, it's just a quick and convenient way to get that game with who you want, with no setup, no waiting around, no map selection. It just picks from the 1v1 pool as if it was Matchmaker and away you go.

I know the origin of the idea came from a thread about avoiding having to play against Godde and in hindsight, that's a bit of a petty thing to do and frankly sucks if you're in his shoes. That said, if the feature is succesful then people will be playing more 1v1s, improving at 1v1s and eventually getting brave enough to just click that matchmaker button more often - hopefully.
