Would it be possible (or desirable) to have a unit like Scythe or something else get a bonus when attacking a factory?

Also...loving the morph conch to djinn so quickly! Keep up the great work, guys.

Scythe bonus vs factory.. unholy hell =P factories already have allot of issue trying to survive Scythe

Its against Zero-K's design policy to have damage modifiers. Armor is the only exception right now as far as I'm aware. (I'm talking about pop-up buildings and units, and Crabe's armor bonus when immobile)

Instead the devs implement such advantages via physical mechanics.

One might argue Scythes already have an advantage against factories: their weapon is very powerful in exchange for being a melee weapon. mobile units can run away and thus are harder for Scythe to kill (although they're faster than most things). Factories are immobile and as such easy prey for melee weapons.

(I think strictly speaking dedicated AA weapons also have a modifier to prevent them from hurting ground units too much if they hit them by accident or via splash. Otherwise Artemis would be a doomsday device)

Yes, that's true. If you look at Angler, its missiles deal 150 damage to planes and 15 damage to everything else.
(Technically, if they splash something underwater they will only take 8 damage.)
Most weapons also have a modifier to prevent them from splashing submerged units and buildings with full damage.

Incorrect. `Sub` is an obsolete armordef afaik.

I don't count the global damage reduction of units in the armour state and per-weapon damage modifiers as being the same thing.
