Me and
mike3
were in the same clan until he left it.
Since then we almost always play against each other, what is the technique of putting teams together?
(i am talking about game type : teams)

in battle-lobby: left-click on friend's name and click option 'invite to party'. friend gets an popup to accept the invitation (or not). note: this is preferred for calculation teams, but not guaranteed.

Approximately:
The !predict values of a bunch of potential teams are checked.
The team with !predict closest to 50% that keeps clan and party members together is selected, if the !predict is 'close enough' to 50%.
Otherwise clans and parties are ignored, and the team with the !predict closest to 50% is selected.
The weighting of !predict and clans may not work this way, but this is approximately what it is trying to do.
