Have we lost all decency? At least PM another mod or something before taking to the entire forum

If you ask about whether units stop burning in water then that's a signal to players that there is likely something capable of causing burning on one side, and something capable of hiding in water on the other. You're revealing information about the game state, doesn't matter if indirectly.

So, if you're spectating a game, is the standard "enter" key chat visible to everybody (including the people playing), or can only other spectators see it?

The standard spec chat is visible only to spectators. All Chat is visible to players as well. I can only imagine this was typed in all chat.

Skrid, you shouldnt try to blame this wrong behavior on the system.

Ease off LUrankAdminAnir, I seriously didn't know if the specs' default chat was visible to all players or not.

Thanks for the clarification, ZArankAstran.

I made a point in #ZK here regarding this:

1.) Both FIrankFine and THrankPootis both knew the answer to your question.
2.) Every other spectator in that match was using specchat BUT you.
3.) Asking a question to players as a spectator and expecting an answer from them is disrespectful to them.
4.) The same question was asked in specchat, and answered after you were kicked.

That said, I do not think spectators should be on all chat at all in public games unless they're doing something productive (EG: assisting in technical difficulties). We don't need ESPN-like commentary from specs polluting all chat creating distractions and making it harder for coordination to occur.

Congrats GBrankczesio! Now you are on AUrankAdminAquanim 's favorite players list.

Sneeze during a game and you are banned for a week.

I was busy playing a game I was taking moderately seriously and did not have time to think about exactly how much information had been given away, and certainly did not have time to have the argument with GBrankczesio that a warning would inevitably provoke.

As a spectator, you post pretty much anything other than technical support in allchat at your own peril. (There are a few other exceptions, I won't try to make a complete list. Use common sense.)

When one takes into account that a large fraction of USrankSkrid's forum interaction seems to be to upvote whenever anybody tries to start drama about admins, no matter the validity of the complaint, the conclusion that LUrankAdminAnir came to is fairly natural.

When you make it transparently clear that you have an grudge against a group of people, you should not be surprised when people assume that you are continuing to take shots and further pursue that grudge.

FRrankLordOfTrolls is memeing here but he is somewhere in the vicinity of a true statement. If somebody has demonstrated that attempting to have a reasonable conversation with them about their actions is a waste of time, admins will eventually stop bothering. This won't get you banned for sneezing but it will get you kicked or banned when you might otherwise have been warned or asked to stop.

I think, with this statement this thread can be closed too.
