suggestion : Change the default selected Commander Strike to Recon or Engineer.

Is it possible to change the default selected Commander (Strike)
to (Recon) or (Engineer) because really more people use these Commander types.
Are there any statistics on which type of commander is used most often?

Strike is my least favorite commander chassis. It has a big upside of having access to disintegrator gun and cloak to cosplay as an ultimatum. Other than that it just seems like a generalist without any real great advantages. Maybe USrankcabinboy can tell me how I am out of line since he always seems to run strike.

Strike is the default because it is fairly safe and generic. It has decent speed and health, and no special abilities.

Interestingly, Engi com's biggest advantage is that it gets targetted over the Lotus it's building, unlike a strike or guardian.

And the Recon often survives during unexpected attacks cause it has a jetpack.. =)

IME all types of commanders get targeted practically over anything else.

I guess most of them use the fingers on their off hand for obscene gestures.

Target priorities are mostly generated by HP/cost because nobody has put the work in to do significantly more. In theory all approximately 100*200 matchups can be given their own priority values.

Testing this in sandbox vs null AI, it seems incorrect, with all coms targetted over a lotus or picket (even a guardian com over a picket, which refutes the simple cost/hp calculation).
I could have sworn I'd seen this effect in 1v1, but...
I apologise for the misinformation.

Targeting light turrets before comms is probably still a good PR, especially for raiders trying to reduce incoming damage.

I'm not planning to. Such a change would only improve targeting for a small minority of people so I think it is more useful to work on the defaults.
