Going back to singleplayer

I've been playing team games lately and completely left 1v1 (not to mention the mm has changed) and I don't want to get further rank anymore. I already get enough multiplayer experience in a real-time strategy game and I want to stop.

I want to go back to singleplayer but team mode is boring. Every ai starts with raiders and barely com morph a lot and rushes big units, unlike in multiplayer. Any idea to make the singleplayer team has the same experience as the multiplayer has?

You'd need new AI to modify the behaviour, no other way.

I remember playing against some AI that had a very different behaviour.

In particular a swarming AI that was quite deadly.

The other way to change the kind of game is to perhaps play against Normal or Easy AI and stack their side with inactive AI for extra income. The easier AI's tend to follow lobster strats like big units and that's why they are easy to defeat !v!. But if they have extra income they will become much more deadly.

I feel some info is missing: if you want the exactly the same experience then it would be the same as playing multiplayer... So what should be different? Not waiting for games to start? No whiners? No early resigns? (questions inspired by the things that annoy me)

Read the second sentence in the second paragraph again
I want to try what it feels like to be a trollcom and building ramp cannon without disturbing the team's game progression. I also want to see ai doing a flank with djinn and lobster and using suicide units (imp, snitch, etc.)

Do you also expect ai to chat like human players?

That tells one thing that is different now to actual human multiplayer, but in the third sentence you mentioned "same experience" not "same unit progression" or "same strategies".

I don't expect anything, you wanted something and was not sure what. Considering how much sense some people make, think AI can copy that easily :-p.

Now my understanding is that you want only AI-s to play more varied, rather than always with "their best strategy".

Correct, some of us directly build striders, com morph, use cloaked suicide units, and some just spam blob of assault units. And I want them to be implied to ais.

They also can be used as a 1v1 practice, since they can be called anytime I want, unlike a human player.
(I'll keep in mind again that I can't win 1v1 100%. It's like playing arm wrestling.)

If you say that I have to make a new AI, then I will do that if I get into it.
For now, I want to make singleplayer less boring and not too hard either.

Making AI was a long dead dream of mine :/ Should have stuck with the programming.

This is very possible to implement some of this behavior with existing circuit, if Lamer was game to allow the AI to select between multiple configs (at present it has a one size fits all config that it always uses). Circuit can be made to play drastically differently with a bit of config tweaking - rushing eco, heavies, supers, whatever - but thats not useful unless it can also be made to randomly choose between these configs, and in an appropriate way to teamsize.

Ivory King is the man with the swarming AI!

That thing was deadly.

Where is it now?

going through the campagin multiple times are pretty fun, assuming you dont do them too much, or its easy to get boring

We should have an AI that watches replays and copies a specific player style. Could be at first just noticing what units he does/never does or so. Or a FireplukAI that once each X games plays his best game and the rest he comm-morphs and resigns.

I am not sure if it's overkill or builds new challenges if AI copies the players like RiposteR or Godde?

(Damn, if only I watched his replays)
Can't even argue with that!
