I feel that hovers are really off meta atm and get outclassed by the other factories in most cases, the only exceptions being maybe scalpels and lances being the biggest strength however when it comes to raiders and riots the hovers suffer a lot due to the riot being wayyy too expensive for what it's worth. At least in my experience I notice that the mace really struggles against the other riots as it's 400 in comparison to redbacks which are almost half the price yet far more effective. The only thing the mace has going for it is the high health pool but that doesn't make sense since it should be an assault then. Yet the halberd fills that role already and does a much better job. Another note is that the bolas is rather slow for a raider tho it matches way better with the other raiders rather than the mace falling behind. Also when in a duel against amphbots the amphbot player has a huge advantage as the only 2 hovers that can hit underwater units are the dagger which loses the fight against a duck most of the time, and the claymore which is a very niche unit which is too slow to be able to deal with whats under the water anyways. I suggest that maybe since they are hovercraft that are hovering "above" the water they could be immune to torpedo based attacks? This would need to be worked around but it's an interesting gimmick I thought about. This could make them more worth their value in naval maps as they can hard counter many units which have a strong presence in ocean maps. However this could be very broken and easily abused so let me know your thoughts.

With lances, maces, and claymores being extremely good at what they do I always assumed hover was a pretty meta factory.

Its important to consider if this is meant for teams or 1v1

In 1v1 hovers is definetly viable, tho needing some prior experience on their best playstyle (daggerspam into mace dagger seems to be the way)

Ive currently not got much experience on the Team side of things, but lance is just such a generalist and good unit that hover is probably always plopable, bolas is a great defensive/screening raider when cloaked and claymore and mace do their job well too

If at all, i think Scalpel could be given thought, it feels a bit akward to use

I play Hovers whenever I get the chance and I love Dagger, I love Lance, and I also love Mace specifically as a riot-assault in the early game

I also love game-winning Halberd dives to kill the enemy base in the midgame (64_bit_dragon calls that the Yanom Special).

The fac might need some tweaks though. Scalpel feels underpowered right now, just because of how slow the missiles move

Bolas is... I really don't know what Bolas is for right now

Claymore has a niche anti sub use I guess, that's probably fine

Scalpel could do with a Duck-like change that it fires 1 missiles at a time at half the current reload time.
Otherwise maybe add it as a fire-mode setting, Salvo or Repeating fire so it can fire both at once or 1 by 1.
It would probably cause issues making it a bit too good as a flex Riot due to it's missile AoE.

Nothing is wrong with scalpel. Scalpel is perfect skirm unit. Hard counters heavy units and gets wrecked by light units.

I think Bolas is quite good, actually. You do have to remember it is a defensive unit, but Hoverfac has several offensively-minded units that Bolas complements quite nicely.
