What's the point of a closed circlejerk room solely created to satisfy the daily ego need of a small wanna-be elitist group? This game already has a small community, why divide it even further? This room sometimes has more players than the normal Teams room, see below.  If someone really needs that ego boost and wanna play alone instead, they can create a private passworded room. But please don't actively encourage this by making official rooms or by providing the options to limit by elo. This all is proven further by the fact that there is only a min elo room or option but not a equivalent max elo room or option.

You might be interested in doing a !help command in the chat in the lobby, and look for commands like !maxelo !maxlevel !maxrank

You might check lobby lists again, I dont see any "max elo" based official rooms. Also as a member of said group, you are obviously biased here.

there are 2660 players in the ladder right now. first 2200+ elo player is   Drascalicus right now. he is in the top 5.7% isn't it just lovely how 5% of them goes to another lobby and 95% of us left with a dead lobby? eat the 5%!

Sometimes the Palladium lobby gets so big, a huge portion of the playerbase is dragged into it, basically leaving me without a game to play :(. I get the appeal of palladium but sometimes its just unfair.

Back when I was a lob it was only lobpot I would be lucky to play small teams/where you become a good player. Also miss venomised :(

That is inaccurate, it counts people in the zk servers' memory who left years ago and never came back

You said there is no option about max elo. I assumed you did not know about other options, so I tried to help. I don't mind if some people play other games - should we forbid zerowars because they have a host? Should we forbid chicken or coop to have more player in lobpot? It's the same with palladium.

ladder ratings are resetted. you still have your elo but you are not in the ladder. so i am talking about now

Well, in fact, it is not the same, because Palladium is a gated community where you cannot join unless your elo is high enough, unlike the games you have mentioned which just need you to download the related game and maps.

I'm pretty sure that there are low elo teams and low rank FFA rooms. So no, it's not just the high rank lobs that get their own room.

Don't remove the Paladium Autohost, these 2200+ elo players deserve their own lobby. They played hard to make it to this exclusive club.

Zero-K is a game we play to have fun. But how we have fun with it depends on the individual. There is no wrong way to enjoy playing it. But forcing people together who want incompatible things from the game causes frustration. The elo-restricted room is in my opinion a kludge to allow people who want highly competitive and comparatively good game-play by every player involved. An automatic matchmaker could solve this more elegantly without excluding anybody explicitly. Unfortunately the matchmaker for team battles is not actively used. I enjoy the matches in the palladium lobby. I wish we could have them without explicitly excluding anybody. But until then, please keep Palladium.

If you really want to get into Paladium grind 1v1 matchmaking until you reach 2200 there. The 2200+ rating requirement counts both mm and casual, and if you're decent 2200+ mm should be attainable with some effort.
