So paladium, according to google, is a silver like material, which makes sense, as the silver ppl, most of them now, are the ones who are able to join it, or higher ranked ppl.

but, when I joined the Silver room, it told me im above the giant, so i can't play eventhough im silver, so why is it called silver then?
Thanks to USrankPeanutBag for pointing that out.

Historically (by which I mean circa 2014) there were several autohosts named for elements. Platinum was (and occasionally still is) a large high-rated teams room. I think Helium might have been a 1v1 autohost. I think there was a Neon autohost but I can't remember what it was for - maybe testing. Other than Platinum I can't find any replays with these names so maybe I am making it all up.

At that time, rather than the symbols with colours which show rank and level today, a player's ranking was indicated by one of a few little pictures of a guy. The administrator and friend icons which still exist are a remnant of that old system. So at the time there was no confusion.

Most of those old autohost names are just history now, but Palladium (as a diminuitive form of Platinum) and Silver are still in use. Occasionally I create a Technetium autohost for game/engine testing. I suppose the Silver autohost could have some other name.

edit: for now I have renamed it "Niobium" but I am not exceptionally attached to it. There is a fairly recently active account with the same name, which is a little confusing.

Why not like, Beryllium? Feels like it should be something with a fairly low mass.
