I wrote these while drunk, but they're funny so I'll still post them.

1. Think thrice, act once

There is no undo button in Zero-K. Do you really want to suicide that entire Glaive ball into a faraday? Always give yourself amply time to think and rethink situations before going in.

2. All things with purpose

You should never be spending metal for the sake of spending metal, or energy. Always have some sort of plan with the actions you are taking, because if you don't, you will simply have to perform more later to carry out your plans.

3. Always storage

Self-explanatory. Saves from excess, useful if com dies, etc.

4. Queue the first 10

One should always attempt to have as much of their gameplay queued as possible. Of course, there will be reactive elements, but queuing helps reduce the APM load on the player, and helps to free up brainpower for other thinking.

5. Sometimes, you must Firepluk

There are times when you must do truly unconventionally and potentially even awful strategies that will still somehow win. This is the real truth of Zero-K.

6. Always build two factories

In most games, you will want two factories to cover weaknesses of the other factory. In teams you can plate.

7. When in a pot, lob

TAW is a someone competitive experience, but there is also more opportunity there to try out experimental and other suboptimal strategies. Sometimes, you must become the level 200 bronze player for the sake of science. Play befitting the type of game you are in and what type of game you want to win.

8. Focus on your own actions

There is not a lot of use in complaining about other teammates. Focus on what you can do for your team, not what your team can do or not do for you.
