While in a match (or watching a replay), go to settings, graphics, overdrive wire and turn it off.

Do you have an AMD GPU by any chance? This graphic glitch starts as soon as the overdrive wire appears and so far the 3 people I know of that reported the issue all have AMD GPUs.

I have an AMD GPU and don't have the issue however.

It appears to be specifically AMD GPUs on rolling-release Linux distros. openSUSE Tumbleweed, CachyOS, and now Arch (though Cachy is an Arch derivative). We've had people on the Steam forums saying they don't have the issue with Fedora and Debian testing.

ok, while turning off "overdrive cables" stops the glitch, it also doesn't seem to stay turned off. i'm having to turn it on and off again for every match i play, and in the last match i had to do it like three or more times because it kept coming back. so that's great

It seems that the that the toggle for wires is global. So someone turning wires on turns it on for everyone, for some reason. That might be the reason why you need to keep turning it off. Thankfully that was fixed in dev and the next release should be soon (hopefully).
