There needs to be a better counter to Licho. I think mobile heavy AA needs to have a much larger range, or Licho bomb drop needs to be cut in half. They can fuckin drop bomb on copperheads almost completely outside copperhead range. SOMETHING needs to be done, either buff mobile AA or lessen the bomb drop range...something. Nearly everyone (cept those who use licho constantly) knows something needs to be changed for better licho counter.

Licho range was nerfed in next release.
Also Copperhead is anti-gunship AA.
Against Licho use spider AA or hover AA.
And don't group them together or Licho will blow them all up with 1 shot no matter their type.

I think Licho is fine, but it should get a lower bomb range and should be a little bit faster to compensate it.

I also think AntiGunshipAA and AntiAirAA should get more spezialised:

someone pointed out that the licho "throws" its bomb, making it not as succeptable to aa. It is also very agile. Maybe increase turn radius, or make it drop its bomb.

We could switch bomb throwing mechanism with prec bomber..
Make prec bomber throw and licho bomb..

What about making it so Licho fires an emitter/attractor/transducter/signaller that triggers a weapon in outer space, firing a very powerful beam, or lightning at the bombs position. There could be a little delay before the trigger (the signaller/source charge up or whatever).

I imagine awesome effects and some tension based on the short delay.

This would massively increase survivability of fast untis (eg. Jethro) IF there is enough space to dodge (->strategic value), while still being just as efficient versus large, slow and especially immobile targets.

The big and important benefit would be more uniqueness among bombers.


Licho's idea of switching throwing and dropping would probably also be more fitting.

MeetTheLulz, I think you are referring to my thread on Lichos and EMP bombers when you say "someone pointed out Licho throws its bomb, making it less susceptible to aa.". I am your clanmate, dang! Don't refer to me as someone! Use 'Someone awesome' or whatever.

what is if we buff Licho, to it's old values, but Lichos bomb accellerate the time at targets and damages these units or structures at time collapse.

If Licho now target an AA building it fires much faster till it dies through time collapse.

I would use ticks explosion effects

What if: Represent Licho with a special icon on the radar, so that you can react to it quicker? I mean: if you knew it is coming then you can rally your Copperhead there.

a line of 5 moderators and 20 aa bots (the missile ones that look like emmanuel designed and animated them) could not kill the licho, and once again its that it throws the bomb.

What ever happened to the implosion bombs? Or laser bombing?

Maybe instead of burning the arm/core logo into the ground (i believe this is what it used to do), it could write text into the ground input with a lua widget of up to 5 characters.

Okay, that was silly, but laser bombers was a cool thing, and i am pretty sure i remember some sort of implosion effect from some time in the past that dropped like a normal bomb.

Finally: Prec bomber throwing its bomb would be interesting, could make it OP, but it could also make it interesting as an anti-aa bomber. as long as a hacksaw could still kill it.

And if you cloack your AA it can only be bombed by much micro if it is mobile

one of the main things I dislike about licho is how the impact of the bomb causes units to fly so it can kill a lvl 4 com in 1 hit by shooting to the side and causing it to fly and explode

Licho costs 2k metal and is relatively easy to kill. Balance exists.

Drone, that's still a 2k metal unit killing a comm. You know 1-2 Skuttles can do the same and only cost half the metal. The weapons impulse makes Licho an anti-unit- instead of anti-structure bomber, just like for Skuttle.

Droog, I assume the units were piled, yup? Otherwise it's probably just an indicator for mobile AA being too weak. I suggest you try the above mentioned Skuttle! Should one-hit-kill a Licho! :)

Oh I nearly forgot that: We had a lot of discussion regarding air- and anti-air units a year ago or so. The conclusion was that the best defense per se are fighters. To really dominate the airspace it needs fighters, static- and mobile ground based anti-air weapons.

The goal was to make it hard to really deny air units. I think that applies.

It's kind of the same for ground. You (might) need cloakers, shields, artillery, assaults, skirmishers, static stuff and whatnot.
