Please unfeature this map. There's a bug on it where units inside the oil rig thing in the centre are pretty much unkillable and they ruin units on fight command. It's bad for gameplay.

Disregard that. Smoth is normally protective over his maps but he released this one under GPL. Fix it up if you want.

The rig was created back when spring did not have proper collision volumes, it was a requirement that it be there by tobi. What is the problem with it? do you just need the collision volume fixed? I didn't think anyone liked the map. If desired I can rework it, expanding the sea around the islands and make the rig more interesting with proper collisions.

USranksmoth it really doesn't seem too bad except for the collision volumes. Not sure if people like the map, but from what little experience I've had they don't hate it - except for the collision volumes and the fact that ZK's sea is kind of unpopular right now.

The rig really makes me hit my head on the desk on this map. It really throws off units on fight, units get stuck in it on occasion, and it's annoyingly unreclaimable which is unintuitive. This is the only bad part of an otherwise fun sea map.

so reclaimable rig with colvol fix? no problem. What if I made it a unit with smoke coming out and all. you can kill it then begin to reclaim it piecemeal?

Being able to rek the rig and reclaim the wreckage sounds even more cool.

However, since it would be a huge map feature, comparable or even larger to actual terrain, it maybe makes more sense to keep it as a feature and use the new functionality in Spring dev to make it not disappear on zoomout.

While a unit is likely to be iconized.

Nothing yet, got pretty sick and forgot about my map tasks, they are still here on my pc though.

What was the decision on the rig, feature or unit?

Hope you get better :D
I prefer a units, so you must kill it before having access to the huge metal value it seems to bring.
But whatever unit or feauture it's good for me, implement the easiest for you!
