Battle com +10 dmg at last morph level worth 1 module and hp worth maybe 1 module (it is still a bit faster) while suppoort com gets +20 bp/s worth 2 modules AND +20% range worth 2 modules...

Strike has not only 500-1300 hp more than 3 others, but is also faster than 3 others.


And that is nothing about these two coms being OP, but all others got nerfed to hell.


How does battle com makes sense if it can't stand a skuttle/spy on last morph level without buffs?


I don't want OP coms back, but they should at least get a little buff somewhere.

They got to be noob-traps now!



Only good com setup now:
* Support-com
* Slow, Energy Cells
* lazarus, nano
* Slow, com drones, high freq beam (total: 1035 slow dps at 500(m3)..540(morph5) range +80 dps from both drones)
* cloak, nano, nano
* nano nano nano

Maybe area shield is good, because it cost only 12e/s, Aspis costs 19e/s while recharging.

Because Athenas are so expensive and this way you get 50rez bp for 4000m (~7 Athenas would cost 3500m) and a good com.
Everything else is fail.

Slow beam is far too risky of a pick vs early raiders.

it is the longest ranged weapon for coms

and it is a support com, no standalone com

you should have at least 2-3 raider, llt or a riot.

I agree, battle comm needs a buff. It's kinda worthless now with damage reduced and without standoff rockets/artillery modules.

Actually there is 3 com setups which I consider worthy.

"Shh I m OP" dual long range sniper. This is very old and probably best com setup, rarely doesnt make cost.

Strike + dgun + speed servos, probably equal or even more popular com setup than sniper com, very useful, very annoying.

Nano com + lazarus, this was my favorite com, but after nano range decrease, was shit, but when rez was moved to anthena it again makes sense to use this setup, 50% if not more used com setups are this, but rarely morphed to higher levels.

2x support com, 1x strike com.

Well on small maps(very small maps) it makes sense to choose battle com too, but it is more exception than rule, also on hilly maps jump com is good too.

in some special cases a jump com is also usefull:
on some big teammaps you can go forward fast and build a base 1/4 map in front of your teammates. but battle com is useless, bombard com is only useful in custom com DOTA, strike com is only a cheap ultimatum with some bp, and support com is a always usefull resource generator with big build range, usefull modules and SOME DIFFERENT usefull layouts:
-nano/rezz com
-sniper com
-areacloak com, for use in teamgames/seldom in 1v1
-combat support:
*laser + sunburst
*good bp
*area shield
*rezz
*drones
*armor/autorepair

But it creates 78{m,e} per minute less than support com.
This means 1 freaker every 3 minutes or 1 bubble/cloaky/veh/hover con every 1min+50s

And if you are high elo and the noobs think you can hold the enemies off forever, you get your base killed and your com bombed.
Once your com is dead you get 240{m/e} per minute less and see yourself horribly die

hmg, 4 speed booster, dgun, pcloak (2000m)
adv -> 2x ulti hp, 10autoheal, ~30% more speed
disadv -> nearly no recharge compared to ulti, if it dies, no more resources, only 4/5 range

maybe better if it reaches lvl5, but not cheaper!

Sure, you can put 3 servos less on it, don't equip pcloak and it would cost only 1450m -> fail-lol-setup
Athena (you don't need exactly strider hub for ulti!) can also rez, something that makes every wreck more valueable.
And morphed sneaky pete + roaches are much cheaper (you get 1 eraser + about 5 roaches for 1450m) and less risky.

what exactly makes that more useful than eraser/aspis?
good: com area shield recharge cost is like static Aegis, not like mobile Aspis which saves up to 210m for solars
bad: you have to put your com (240m/e per minute) on front to make it useful

good armor costs a lot and make it a sitting duck

If sunburst would shot 2 projectiles (to not penetrate shields; and overlap, so you see only 1) and buffed to 4000 dmg, it could be useful...
The problem is that every obstacle blocks aiming and that can be really painful since there is no auto-fire.
