Third night in a row this has been happening. Fix plox! Very annoying when you're winning then suddenly the game freezes. Tonight its been worse -- we're not even able to finish a game! Other nights it would just lag like hell then be fine. Seems to be around the same time each night -- around 6:30pm-7:30ish UTC-7 and will continue for an hour or two. Could this matter be looked into? Kthnx!

While I understand that we're not paying for this and I genuinely thank the folks who are hosting this service, I am getting rather frustrated that I can't even play an entire game. IrishDruid put it well. I was hoping that certain types of games (newbies player vs. chickens or cai for example) could be hosted on the player's computer or at least take some of the load off springiee by sharing it (much like they do with Mars rovers when the rover can't talk to NASA) but that's not the case today. I think those options would certainly lighten the load on springiee's and make it possible to scale out the implementation better. :-)

It is possible. However, I think Zero-K lobby doesn't allow to do it. Am I right?

I don't think ZKL 'disallows' manual hosting. It's probably just not implemented because it takes time to do and people wouldn't have custom commanders.

I still think it would be much better if Springiee had a replica of itself that could operate for it when there were network/communications issues. It could also track the status of a game in the event that the hosting Springiee were to go away and needed to resume a game already in-progress. For security reasons, Springiees could store remote session details with some kind of hash or security code so it would be possible to resume sessions that were in-progress more securely than not.

One other comment - if a maintenance window is expected/needed, please do the rest of us a favor and post it so we're not so surprised. :-)
