That just looks like some setting was forgotten, resulting in maximum metal = minimum metal on the entire minimap...

Mind you, i have no clue how this entire thing works, but i can clearly see the metalmap ingame and by the fact that there's still the same metal everywhere, i'd conclude that it's missing some sort of value range.
