ZK 1v1 Tournament May 24th!

This month's tourney is in 1v1 mode, and will be held on May 24th, 09:00 UTC. Registration is open until May 23rd 23:59 UTC.

There are no limits for signups - anyone can join! - so if you want to test your might, don't hold back - and choose your destiny.

Rules are following:
- Single Elimination
- First map of each round is predetermined, following maps will be selected by loser of previous game from the pool of featured 1v1 maps.
- Finals are best of 5, all other matches (including bronze match) are best of 3.

Bracket will be seeded by 1v1 Elo ratings of participants.

The map list for initial games of each round is as follows:

Round 1: DesertCliffsV1
Round 2: AlienDesert
Finals : Eye_Of_Horus_v2
Bronze : Into Battle_v3

As with the previous tourneys, winners get kudos prizes: 75 for gold, 50 for silver, and 25 for bronze.

Why, what's wrong with May 24th?

shouldn't it be like 10-15 matches per day and split out to 2-3 days or at least 2-3 session?

I'm in. We'll have to see how the new time goes but it's worth a try.

Yeah, there are very few people in North America involved in the tournaments compared to Australia and Europe, so this seems the most fair setup.

Also, with this timing I don't have to worry about working around my own Saturday plans.

Actually, to be perfectly honest, 2am works best for me both in general (I'd like to be able to do this without worrying about planning my Saturday around it) and specifically for the 24th (I have an appointment with a car mechanic that morning, and won't be at home at the original time).

As for single/double elim. I'd only be okay with double elimination if the loser's bracket was all Best of 1. That way it won't take forever to complete, and won't slow down the tournament appreciably.
