Licho 12 years ago They can be AFK and unafk ingame, when it foces them to play. If they fail to ready up ingame they are specced +0 / -0

Jasper 12 years ago Why people who the lobby knows are are afk not spec right away. Rather than ruining games. If they do not ready up and are kicked in game, the games balance is ruined. If you also do not ready, up you will be kicked and that kick counts as a lost was well but better than playing a game you cannot win I guess. The ready up in game would be ok if you could decide not to play but right now you cant. +0 / -0
Licho 12 years ago AFK in lobby is poor indicator of real AFK.. Example .. i open lobby and watch TV nextg to PC to wait until current game ends .. my lobby status AFK, my real status not AFK.. On the other hand you might leave or refuse to play despite having present status +0 / -0

[V]ConTrust 12 years ago Jasper is right, it messes up balance and whole match if afk player has to be speced after the start. There is an easy solution to this, someone already mentioned it: Automatically set Spectate mode after ~ 3 minutes in lobby, so everyone must renew their Ready (Play) status. This is the only way to keep players really ready. To avoid unwanted starting just in the second when you were speced, implement some kind of warning or countdown. +0 / -0
NeonSturm 12 years ago what's about the ready status? -> set ppls to unready after 3 minutes. -> new joined ppls start with spec status. -> set to spec after another 1 or 2 minutes. +0 / -0
Licho 12 years ago As I said for many people there is valid reason to be PC AFK but not really AFK. You can read or watch TV next to PC +0 / -0
Jasper 12 years ago I do not think checking back every 20 mins or whatever the very long afk timer is its too hard. like really are you playing or watching TV. +0 / -0

Licho 12 years ago Another issue is that there is no standard when to set it .. its just flag each user can set on himself. It would be more flexible with a real timer. +0 / -0
