the most trolly of games
+0 / -2
Both players failing to save their scorcher from fac death explosion...

Just that you did a comnap while being slightly ahead after a mutual fac kill wouldn't rectify calling it "the most trolly of all games" for me. But that might just be personal taste.

On another note though, do you (= general public) think mixing in halberds (on holdfire) could work better than just pure scrubbers would work better against that rogue/bandit composition?
I know @Lauri was at a disadvantage and mostly outnumbered 2:1, but i felt like halberds could've been useful...

GBrankTheEloIsALie - Halberds on hold fire are Unit AI decoys, similar to Razors on hold-fire. They get defeated by the slightest micro, and can be ignored by indirect-fire Rogues.

Their best use is to distract towers to let raiders through, because who ever micros a tower?

I do, don't you?

My motto is, if you need to micro your towers, you don't have enough of them!

Halberds aren't as simple as they seem. When you start microing to not shoot at them, they can go pointblank to you, unpack, fire a single salvo, pack again, go for repair.

They might be quite devastating if your adversary has the inclination and APM to use them to full ability.

Doubt it. My daggers were mostly struggling against the bandit part of the composition and investing in halberds would have reduced my capabilities of dealing with them even further.

Either way it was a silly game lost due to making fateful mistakes while being overly sleepy.

lauri lacked scouting after the factory kill and Kyubey just gambeled. When you this situation coming. (mutual factory kill) it is even more important to keep one unit alive to see what the next factory is going to be.
I think you could have had a scrubber, or any other scout, quicker than you did.

I think a Black dawn would have had the same result. Might have ended the game even quicker probably.

I don't really think it was much of a gamble. Definitely less so than a "normal" GS rush at the start of the game, since he had an eco lead (and I'm pretty sure he was aware of that). Just imagine the GS rusher being allowed to start half a minute earlier than his opponent.

Also, I find the prospect of a single scout locating/identifying the enemy fac before being killed sort of optimistic. I mean, if you know where his com is (or was 10 seconds ago), sure, it makes things easier, but just approaching from the wrong side can mean a dead scout to defenders or something. It's still worth a shot though.
