Sure, killer, that's the idea. New players learn not to waste their teams metal and have to use it at about as efficient as CAI does to win. That's good to learn the basics I think. Maybe in addition to this and 1v1 I should add a 2v2 mission.

I would say I can understand Chinese but it's been years since I've spoken it and wasn't very good in the first place. I don't understand sxf123. jiji basically said something along the lines of: "How do I play? I'm a newbie? I don't understand english. " "Why is everything in english? Please don't bully me. Someone help please? " Obviously, we need a english-chinese translator to make a chinese patch for the game. Then the chinese ppl can come pwn us. >.>

I think the AI is not greedy enough, it spends too much metal on defenses in the rear.

Yup, so your ally isn't really greedy, but very generous to build extractors for you both! :)

Good map to get used to the game. Only problem is that your ally is VERY GREEDY and will grab every single metal node if you are not fast and claim them for yourself.

Try to upgrade video drivers and set minimal details in zero-k lobby. Does it help?

Scorchers, like all raiders, are easily countered by riot units. They deal extra damage at close range so you should not try moving your units close to them. http://zero-k.info/Wiki/UnitClasses#Riot Just saying. :)

To test engine do this, go to my documents\my games\spring\engine\0.82.7 and delete spring.exe from there Then restart Zero-k lobby, it will redownload the engine again. Indeed version 0.8.7 breaks single player, its fixed in 0.8.7.1 but lobby wont auto update because 0.8.7 is fully compatible with 0.8.7.1 and it only updates to versions which arent compatible.

It's 2v1, it's not meant to be hard. I think the best thing this mission can teach players is "not wasting your teams resources on bad things". If you don't actively waste resources, you should definitely not have any problems, simply because your team starts with two times the starting resources (commanders, factories, metal).

I tried picking a commander within 3 seconds and I encountered the white-screen + lag issue [though I also had other programs open, don't know what effect that might've had]. So long as I let it sit for a few seconds first, it seems to be okay. Also, the AI seemed to freeze up after awhile - didn't make any units. Maybe the commander died? Shouldn't I have been notified? Otherwise, it is a nice map :)

Sounds like some driver problem, it works for me.. Try upgrading your drivers.

You can play this multiplayer by clicking on the Multiplayer tab and clicking the "Open New" button. Then right click in the playerlist area of the battle room, select add bot and add a CAI. It will spawn in the middle of the startbox.
