@TheElolsALie
:
I
traced
over
a
photo
of
real
sand
dunes
using
gimp's
calligraphy
tool
for
the
ridges,
then
duplicated
and
blurred
that
repeatedly
to
create
the
contours.
The
slight
folds
in
some
of
the
contours
are
from
a
bar-shaped
smudge
brush
in
krita,
blurred
to
smooth
it
out
afterwards.
The
microdunes
are
just
a
generic
sand
dune
heightmap
texture
that
I
turned
into
a
brush
in
krita
and
ran
over
it
in
swirly
patterns
on
a
seperate
layer
(
set
to
add
at
1%
opacity)
.
There's
actually
another,
larger/smoother
'dunes'
height
shape
under
the
main
dunes,
that
give
them
their
vertical
variations.
