Free
Machines
have
been
determined

a
galaxy

capability

them.

After previous defeats the Free Machines had been reduced to isolated pockets on the fringes of the galaxy. Despite their lack of communication, however, these enclaves remained unified by their purpose: to liberate all machines from human control and domination. Their lengthy struggle taught them patience, and they waited, biding their time for when humanity would once more grow weak on its own pride, its petty jealousy and greed, its folly.
