Deregulation and the accompanying greater degree of freedom to individuals is something which tends to come from the conservative side of politics more than the progressive side, but I do not see a sense in which it is not "liberal" in the sense that it is in the direction of greater "liberty". 10 I do not think we are using the same terminology.
