1 About +50 elmos is reasonable for most turrets. Newton can be an exception to this, placed on a high enough spire it will be able to pick up and dangle units, keeping them trapped. 1 Stardust will gain increased range from height. Stinger and other laser turrets will not.

3 With walls around structures, it all depends on what your up against. If it's early game short walls are enough to keep out Scythes.
