3 Personally I like the 'last human' conceit, it makes the protagonist important and opens up more avenues for transhumanist exploration: Whether you resurrect humanity, go on a huge power trip and become empress of the universe, become a machine yourself, etc. 3 Personally I like the 'last human' conceit, it makes the protagonist important and opens up more avenues for transhumanist exploration: Whether you resurrect humanity, go on a huge power trip and become empress of the universe, become a machine yourself, etc. It doesn't have the purity and pathos of robots fighting robots for no reason but it works as a storyline.
