5 You can change the smoothness of the zoom using a slider in the Camera Control settings. I just get disappointed when there's a small battle and the viewers just see tiny tanks from a distance. I guess it's up to how carefully you handle the camera to keep them from getting disoriented. Doesn't have to be every 10 seconds, but at least a handful of times so folks can see the units up close. 5 You can change the smoothness of the zoom using a slider in the Camera Control settings. 7
as nice as ZK models are, they aren't (nor should they be) photorealistic. People tend to complain a lot less about, and often even praise, non-photorealistic graphics when they have a hard outline or are Cel shaded.
7
as nice as ZK models are, they aren't (nor should they be) photorealistic. 8 I guess this is subjective, because I enjoy seeing the models up close without an outline. I do think that the intent is to be closer to photorealism, because the alternative is to look like cartoon sprites. Everything else in the game is also intended to look photorealistic, from the detailed terrain to the shadows. So in a way the outline actually clashes with the rest of the look, and becomes MORE noticeable and hard to ignore. Take for instance this other spring game called Conflict Terra. Their intent is cartooniness, and they even design their maps around that (trees and all). So outline fits perfectly with their game: 8 I guess this is subjective, because I enjoy seeing the models up close without an outline.
