Hence the concept of a bridge across the river. I'm still not sure how often people will actually try to attack over it but it at least obliges the flank players to defend on that side.

AUrankAdminAquanim I don't think the middle player is really at disadvantage. See my other game on this map: https://zero-k.info/Battles/Detail/1124416 where I won as the middle player. Imho what matters the most is what matchup you get on your island, if you get two weaker players you win, and then just build up on your isolated island while other battle on theirs.
