ok, i don´t really care for the ladders anymore, but can you tell me why losing this match moved me from no54 to 57? shouldn´t i lose way less whr when i play against someone with such a high win-chance?

winning against DErankexploit rose me some numbers again despite having a really high win-prob... so basically the same.
while i think whr should change as fast as it does atm, i think games with significant skill-difference are maybe overrated?

Weight is proportional to the win chance. So you get half the elo change here as you would in a 50:50 game. The actual amounts of change depend mostly on your activity and choice of game types.

If you play lots of 1v1, changes will become very small. If you play lots of big teams, change will reduce, but not become as small as in 1v1. If you play less of any mode, change will increase.

so, to get my rating up again i would have to take a break? that sounds strange...

so if you stop playing for a month, then come back, play someone who has the same rank, lose 20 games, then win 20 games, what happens?

that describes my situation somehow, ofc it´s not that extreme for me....
look at my graph.

(i need to stress that i don´t really care that much because i think i know all of us well enough to know where i am standing, i just like to understand and tweak the rating system)

The longer you wait before playing again, the closer these 40 games will get you to that person's rank. If the time goes to infinity, you will get exactly the rank of that person you played against.

Keep in mind, that for WHR order of the matches does not matter if they're played within a game, and only has little impact if you play the games within a short time span compared to your inactivity span.

If you take a break and then win a battle, it'll count more for your recent rating than if you win a battle now. That's logical because after taking a break, the only recent information about your performance is a victory. If you didn't take a break, the victory is only one in many recent games to base your recent rating on.
