For @Highrule1
quote:
Highrule1: the first game, i was kinda confused as to what i should be doing
Highrule1: right around the time i ended up losing my base
Highrule1: not sure where i was supposed to attack or with what

Short summary:

- Do not idle units
- Build build a factory as soon as possible after a basetrade situation

I will write while watching so it should be somewhat chronological.

This might seem a little bit nitpicky but I wrote about everything which came instantly into my mind.

1. In the early game try to use priority settings to get e.g. mex finished while building other stuff so you dont have 25/ms spend on 3 projects which finish delayed because you only have 10m/s income.
2. 2 constructors in early game are overkill, same problem as above, no income for that.
3. If you use recon commander, use its jump to expand faster (e.g. jump to next mex spot)
4. While in this case Kingstad build defense, you should still have used units to possibly raid or at least scout what he is doing.
-> then you can prepare possible counters and dont have to blindly guess
5. Do not use point move, units cant shoot though each other so use line move instead
6. Use fight command with fencers. Fencers can only attack when they stand still, fight command stops them automatically when enemys get in range.
7. Some maps have trees which can be reclaimed to get energy, they are especially useful if you energy stall.
8. Try to pressure with Fencers while having scorchers close to stop incoming raiders.
-> Fencers can kill lotus and stardust without taking damage and force the enemy to build stingers or lose their front
9. Do not use single Ravagers as they are easily surrounded by raiders and die
-> Ravagers work best in groups of 3-6 to break trough some more defended positions or even the base.
10. Try to avoid riots with raiders
11. Building a big unit like Krow only works out if you have an economy to produce it in a reasonable time, in this time the enemy can recover and push you back.
12. Try to attack and dont get stuck in defending (resulted because of above point), Kingstads base was open for most of the game, if some scorchers or ravagers pushed trough you could have won the game.
13. Try to kill Stardusts with fencers (or when protected with stinger with impaler) and push with scorcher.
-> Use Badger to kill enemy skirmishers, use Impaler against defence
14. If you are pretty sure your base is going to die, instantly use any con in a reasonably safe location to plop caretakers equal to your metal income and rebuild a factory.
15. The main advantage of big units is that you can repair them and push again, do not suicide big units unless they are e.g. killing the last enemy constructor or sth like that.
16. After a base trade, try to raid as hard as possible and get reclaim as soon as possible! The one who rebuilds faster will come out on top and most of the defense is now dead.
