So what should they look like? 2 for the small ones, 3 to 4 for the big? Or 1.5 for the small ones and 2.5 for the big, considering this map is tiny?

Why not add some dynamic metal to it?

If teamsize is greater than 3, then metalmult = teamsize/2
else metalmul = 1. Then just set all the mexes to 1*metalmult and 1.5*metalmult. In a 6v6, this would produce mexes with 3 and 4.5.

This way metal scales with game size. The 6v6 situation would give mexes with 0.5ea and 0.75ea.

Metal already scales with team size. Teams start with metal makers generating 4.4m/s per player. Furthermore each player adds starting metal and potential reclaim.

... does that mean the right place to put ZK metalspot lua configs is in the ZK distribution rather than bundled with the map?

When I remake Seth's Ravine where should my new metal spot config go? Map, or github?

Preferably the map. Modside metal configs only exist for maps that don't get/need remakes.
