Pregame RPS?
Fleas are just so expensive to deal with for amphfac.
Archers are good against Fleas and Archers can atleast push away venoms but die horribly to light defences.
Best bet for amhps is probably a combo of Ducks and a few archers that push out on the map that avoids or kills Venoms and Redbacks while raiding expansions. Venoms don't do too well against the high alpha of Ducks either. Amphs probably wanna avoid the skirmish fight aswell until they get Grizzly. Grizzly pretty much hardcounters the whole spider fac if you just screen it with Archers or Ducks to protect against Spies.

The matchup seems balanced on a map like Ravaged where the spiders can't expand as wide and the amphs can protect their expansion against Flea harassment with just a few Lotus turrets

Amph struggles to protect against the fleas, yes. They also struggle against recluse until they have grizzly, but by then it's often too late.

Ducks are the worst raider for diving skirms, and recluse outranges everything in amph bar grizzly.

The new units might offer some micro options, not sure.

More like yet another evidence that SErankGodde is somewhat OP.

Usually the only difficulty Amph should face vs Spiders is Recluse. They outrange and counter any classic Amph unit lineup except Grizzly. Maybe recent changes bring something new to the matchup, but I don't see them making big difference.

Also Vittra I believe is very Amph favored map and they often play well here:
