I was thinking, it would be very helpful if the commander editing page had short 5-20 second videos showing exactly what each of the modules did, similar to what LOL has for each champion's abilities. This could also help highlight some more subtle points about modules.
For example, for heavy particle ray, it could show a commander killing a unit with the light particle ray, then have it morph and show the heavy particle ray. This would show new players firsthand the damage, and also show them that if they choose the heavy particle ray, they need the light particle ray equipped first and that the light particle ray becomes the heavy particle ray, the commander doesn't get to keep both.
I think this would help make Zero-K just that much more polished up for the Steam release, and do much more to help new players than just a short text description.
