And those tips have since been put onto the Funnelweb's wiki page.

about Sapphire Brutal i can only say the Creator is a Freak, first u getting encoutered by massive Spam of Chickens + Minotaur and Dante + Scorpion + Ultimatum, then comes Paladin + 2-3 Merlin and much high Units spam and more Chickens. The AI pushes with Constructores and build much Stinger+Lotus and more Chainsaw so u cant use Air.
After u survived 15 Mins 5 Nebula spawns and sometimes they group up with 2 north 3 south or 5 together on one Spot.
After u survived with all Bonus Objectives 26 Mins the first Detriment and Chickenqueen together spawns and every 30 Seconds spawns more of them untill 28Mins so u encounter against 4 Detriment and 4 Chickenqueens.

Playing aggressiv is useless because the Chickenspam and Striders pushes u easy back, even if u spam Nimbus he counters u with spamming Likhos.
Attacking the Base is in the whole Mission totally useless, no Weakspot and cost to much Time.
Playing Defense he builds like 3-4 Bigberthas and massive Merlin so Shields are useless.

The only Way of Winning is like u playing like a Trump and build a huge Wall + massive AA + Likho for Berthas, there is no other Way, everything is totally useless.

Here are some Videos how i played the Campaign

Chatka: Unlocks Merlin, Strider Hub
This Mission was a little crazy, to get the 18 Mexes is heavy sometimes. Destroying the Bases is easy with Nimbus and without it would be much more Time to destroy everything but not impossible.
[Spoiler]
Tempest: Unlocks Ultimatum
This Mission can be sometimes dangerous, the first Lance can go to you or to the AI. Its Luck again if the Zombies killing the AI fast (Desolators and Dante then u got a nice Chance but if not its hard to get the Bonus.
[Spoiler]
Sapphire: Unlocks Desolator, Lucifer, Artemis, Singularity Reactor
This Mission driving me real crazy, i mean u playing against AI+Chicken which are complety bunkering the Base. For me the only Way of winninh the Mission is just build a Wall, even without Bonus its not possible to hold the Position without building any Walls and then 4 fucking Detriment + Chickenquens holy moly.
[Spoiler]
Hibiliha: Unlocks Funnelweb, Strider Hub
I like to use Funnelweb on this Mission, was realy funny.

So, I tried playing the Funnelweb mission, Hibilha. Has anyone tried playing it since v1.7.3.4 (Link to the changelog,) where the Funnelweb was completely reworked?

As it stands right now, I don't know how I'm supposed to win. I was thinking maybe Widows would counter the Scorpions, but there's too much other stuff on the field to deal with that.

I was under the impression somebody had tested it, but perhaps not enough. I'll have a look. The Nuke mission (in which you oppose Funnelwebs) may also need attention.

Yes and no.
I tested fairly extensively with a starting set of units of a Funnelweb, a variety of spiders (I think 3 Tarantulas, 2 Widows, 4 Redbacks and a couple of Recluses) and either a Dante or Ultimatum (both worked fairly well in different ways). I found that a fairly challenging mission but none the less a good demonstration of the Funnelweb's new capabilities (though not as good a demonstration as the old mission was of the old Funnelweb's capabilities of course).
I was going to get the mechanics change merged in before opening an MR for the campaign, but when AUrankAdminGoogleFrog took over he just added an extra fusion.
I tested that and found it extremely difficult, but still beatable, and assumed AUrankAdminGoogleFrog was happy with that.

Given this feedback I will open an MR for the campaign over the next couple of days.

To be fair, I think part of the problem is that the easy AI allies tend to fold like cheap deck chairs, which means I need to get my own fusions up quickly before I lose power. It also means that my opponent has even more eco to throw at me.

Which I realize is a big fix to implement, so probably not happening soon. Maybe give the allied AI a bit more to start with?

Also how did you win it with the two funnelweb/three fusion start? Because the mission select and mission start screens need to be rewritten so us campaign newbs have an idea of where to start. (Also it may need to be moved somewhere else on the map so that the players are more likely to have the correct other units. Or we could just whitelist the units for the mission.)

land striders will be more effective if cheaper 3000 still u can keep paladin at it's pircie but reduce dante and scorpion to 2000 or 2200 good prcie. and players get more striders early.

USrankltmauve : I've started work on updating the campaign mission for the new Funnelweb. Got a way to go though as I don't want to just change the starting units, I want the mission to be a good demonstration of using the funnelweb.

Alright, took a gander at it, GBrankdyth68

Didn't win, but the I suppose the Strider missions are where you demonstrate that you've gitten gud. It's fine, and this is more of a git gud type of hard than the original.

I think it's a lot more balanced and I'm sorta got a few ideas on how to win it (which is good.)

AI allies held up decently. I played on easy, went Spider and then Gunship. I'm thinking Tank might be more appropriate for the first factory?, I could use Cyclops against the Paladins walking down the south-middle valley. Also I'm pretty sure the enemy snuck a Djinn into our back valley and kept on sending in Amph raider parties, which was devious and I hate it and approve.
Also, I take it you're supposed to have unlocked Ult first? Or it at least helps?

Ulti helps a lot, yes. This is hinted at in the description and is why you are given one at the start. (this also hints that if it's too hard then you should go unlock Ultimatum)
But you can make do with Recluses and other good skirmishers (though it's a lot harder, Funnel+Ulti absolutely trashes heavies by the truckload with a bit of backup).

When testing, I was generally able to murder my way along the south edge and up the east edge with just my starting units and recluse+redback(+tarantula) reinforcements. (this was sufficiently easy that I am tempted to put a Cerebrus at the 3 o'clock position on the map, just so you have to bring in a second Funnelweb)

btw: The AI setup is made so that the first part of their line to fail should be the part closest to you. :D
No more frustrating situations where your allies get rolled up and there's nothing you can do... :)

Is Chatka mission working for you guys? I've finished the mission several times now and it will not end after the objectives have been met.

I had a look and there seems to be a bug with ticking the objectives. I found that a tick would appear when I destroyed the commander and factories of one of the teams, but I only won the mission after destroying the factories and commanders of both teams. If you destroy everyone does it work?

The should also affect planet Gemmia. The simplest solution would be to make an objective for each of the teams, that would also give players some feedback and awareness that the mission is a 3-way FFA.

AUrankAdminGoogleFrog Thanks for checking. I've cleared the whole map yes. Still doesn't end for me.

GBrankdyth68

Having completed the mission, I'd say that it's good. Adding a Cerberus to the east side of the map is probably fine to do as well. For people at my skill level we probably can't advance far enough that we wouldn't have the second Funnelweb up by the time we're hitting the strider hub, and more skilled players can probably deal with it.

(Note: I also had Athena so I was rezzing the dead Paladins. That may affect the challenge of doing the spiderball across the map.)

AUrankAdminGoogleFrog Here you go. This one is with cheats enabled and my final test with the map before i posted here.

https://mega.nz/#!hx4AjYhY!AoSFzm_yWoJ1-ugfVYnj2-RN_5cBmeEdXXnavH2aBTU

I can post what i think is my first legit map clear as well. (I couldn't confirm it since the replay doesn't seem to work correctly for me.) Let me know if you want to see that. It's long tho..

The game won't finished while cheats are enabled. This is to allow whole teams to be destroyed while developing. I think we'll try changing the objectives UI to show an objective for each enemy team first.

Devs really need to reduce the AI difficulty at the higher missions, the current setup is almost impossible to pass.

About ready to delete this piece of junk game.
