I wonder why force fire cant shoot on air? like select a point, raise your target point height, shoot there lead planes cant escape the blackholes.

Some units can't even force fire at ground that'd be in their range. Both this and disallowing firing at points in air are necessary to enforce the range limitations of all units.

can raised placeholders stop air?

If my memory serves right, Placeholders were able to trap Ravens in older versions, but not anymore. Now they can only do it, when Ravens are slowed, for example by Moderator.

If it was possible to target air, Impaler would have around 22500 practical range and mexes would be hunted to extinction.

If it was possible to target air, bertha would become a giant aa gun.

Bertha can target gunships. Bertha is a giant low accuracy AA gun.

I know about the gunships, I'm talking about anti-airplane :D

Bertha has too much innate inaccuracy to be good vs planes, i think. It fails vs gunships which are smaller than Nimbus and Krow.

Is it a targeting restriction or does the turret move too slow to keep up with targeting predictions?

Bertha is inaccurate, not just slow. It fires at an angle that randomly differs from its desired angle, within some bounda.

even so, it has to move it's turret to be in range. like when fleas run circles around crabs, they can walk straight through it's line of fire when turning because the crab has to lead it's target, so you can make the turret dance point blank when all the crab needs to do is fire on ground and the flea will get caught in the aoe.
