Is it possible to run the game with more appealing graphics, like glowy projectiles in my Nitro 5 Laptop?
If so, can anyone tell how?

First send a screenshot so we know what you have now, and link a crash report via Help -> Report A Bug so we can see your GPU.

I mean, I want to optimize the graphics, not some kind of errors.

I want to know where can I get the settings of cloaky effects, fire, shield, factory plate, explosion terrain scar, etc.

Settings - graphics and pause during a skirmish to go through all the widgets - lots of ways to tweak the game - 100s actually.

I doubt your graphics card supports shaders, based on that screenshot. With the crash report log I'd know more.

The report will show what video card the game is using and whether or not it's able to use the card's capabilities (like shaders) among other things.
I have a feeling that the problem is just the game running on your low-power GPU. Running it with NVidia/AMD GPU may fix the cartoonish graphics for you.

Then how do I do that?

Integrated graphics is not supported. If you think you have a dedicated graphics card then ask the internet how to make it be used for Zero-K. You may have to point it at engine/win64/104.0.1-1544-ge1f249f/spring.exe.

It's been a year since I own the laptop. But still don't know how to use NVIDIA GPU.
Next problem is the aircraft exhaust doesn't show even I already turned it on.

's reply answers the question posed for me, but just to be thorough, Windows 10 might start forcing graphics card manufacturers to use its own interface instead, in which case you need to change your GPU to "high performance" as this article describes:
https://www.howtogeek.com/351522/how-to-choose-which-gpu-a-game-uses-on-windows-10/
Edit: I see
czesio
's link actually talks about that too.
