Spectator Leaderboard

I propose we create a Spectator Leaderboard.

How it will function. Spectators may choose bet 10 elo on a match they spec on who team wins or loses at the start of the match. If they are correct the elo is rewarded to them. If not they lose 10 elo. Basically this will create a fun minigame for spectators to do.

All spectators start with 1000 elo as their starting bank. Elo for specs can not fall below 100.


I hope this idea gets considered. Would be nice to see who makes good predictions and a fun time all around.

this already exists as a widget for tech annhialation spring mod and could be easily ported.. probably already works out of the box

That's the idea.

Spec would be "fake" elo as in it doesnt change your rank yes but still has a leaderboard. Maybe it can have its own ranks or something if people wish.

Yeah, or perhaps bet can be placed at any point in the game, but the system updates the payout based on current total value difference between teams (you get 2x more points if your team is 5000 value behind, vice versa for ahead).

if this happened i wouldnt make elo still, unless i know i have lots of time this game is just background noise.

also the betting elo should not let you into palladium or affect matchmaking at all, maybe it shouldnt even be called elo.

now, new idea, different commander skins as a reward for this point system

now, maybe these points could be used on a progression system... where you get cosmetics... and you battle to get a pass...

Zero-K Polymarket integration when?

I suggest the prediction mechanic could be introduced to MM 1v1 games only to begin with. That way there's no spectator all chat, and if someone wants to throw, its only their own points they're losing. Also it might boost the matchmaking scene :)
