Once upon a time, in a bright and busy digital world, a clever player named Potato sat down to play their favorite game, Zero-K.

Potato was a mighty commander who looked down from high up in the sky, watching over a whole valley. Potato's absolute favorite thing to do was build the Rover Assembly factory. With a few clicks, the factory would go whirrrr-clack! and out would roll dozens of shiny, speedy robotic cars.

Potato loved to select a huge group of rovers and send them zooming across the map to explore and defend the base.
But one sunny afternoon, disaster struck. Pop!

Potato looked down. The S key on the keyboard had popped right off and rolled away! Potato looked under the desk. Potato looked behind the computer. But the S key was completely gone.

"Oh no!" cried Potato. "In Zero-K, the S key is the most important button for a strategy commander. It tells your whole army to STOP!"

Potato started a new match and quickly built a Rover Assembly. Whirrrr-clack! Out rolled a bunch of bouncy little scout cars. Potato clicked on them from the sky and ordered them to drive across a bridge.

Suddenly, Potato saw a giant enemy laser tower on the other side of the bridge!

"Wait, halt! Don't go over there!" Potato yelled. Potato went to smash the S key to halt the army. But their finger just poked the empty, plastic hole on the keyboard. Boop.

The little robotic cars didn't stop. They didn't know they were in danger! They zoomed right across the bridge, beep-booping happily, and ran straight into the enemy lasers. Zap, fizzle, pop! The rovers turned into piles of metal spaghetti.

Next, Potato built a group of heavy missile rovers. Potato ordered them to roll to the top of a hill. But Potato accidentally clicked too far, sending them heading right toward a dangerous cliff!

"Stop, rovers! Brake! Halt!" Potato cheered, poking the empty key spot again and again. Boop, boop, boop.

Without the S key, the cars couldn't hear the command to stop. They rolled right off the edge, tumbling down like a waterfall of shiny tin cans. Clang, bang, plop!

Potato started to giggle. It looked very silly watching a whole line of cars drive off a cliff. But Potato knew they couldn't win the RTS match if their army just kept driving forever!

"I need a new way to make my rovers stop," Potato thought, tapping their chin.

Potato looked closely at the screen. Down in the command menu where all the action buttons live, there was a little icon with a picture of a hand holding up its palm. It was the Stop Click-Button!

On the very next round, Potato built a fresh batch of rovers. They started zooming toward the dangerous bridge again.
"Not this time!" Potato smiled. Instead of poking the missing key, Potato used the mouse. Potato hovered the pointer over the screen and clicked the little stop button. Click!

Instantly, all the robotic cars slammed on their brakes. Their tiny tires screeched, and they stopped perfectly in a neat little line, safely away from the lasers.

"Hurrah!" shouted Potato.

From the sky, Potato could now control the whole rover army perfectly again. Potato learned that even when a piece of your puzzle goes missing, you can always find another way to solve the problem. From that day on, Potato was known as the cleverest RTS commander in Zero-K—the one who could stop a whole fleet of cars with just a single, magical click.
