Has anyone managed to clear this? The anglers are too nasty. (lesson 1 in playing air is don't fly over AA and in this mission you have to or you'll die)

The bugged Shadows are probably the worst part.

The Anglers aren't too bad if you punch them out though. Shadow oneshots Angler, two Anglers are needed to kill one Shadow and each battle group only comes with one.

It's possible that the difficulty is too dependant on what the enemy CAI decides to do (they could make a few Tarantulas that really annoy you, for instance).

I've got a couple of changes in the pipe that should make the mission a bit easier (particularly at the boss fight).

A bit easier now:
- You get three free Shadows, instead of two.
- The allies get considerably more reinforcements at the start of the boss phase: six Zeuses, two Sharpshooters and a pair of Brawlers to cover the pass (in addition to the Scorpion).

Ok, fixed a lot of issues (like score submission not working). Coupled with the recent bomber fix in ZK, it means this mission is approximately 20% cooler now. Yay!

Awesomest part in my last playthrough is when the allied CAI decided to go air as second fac, resulting in green and teal bombers swarming the bad guys together. Teamwork baby!

i found this really easy

at the end i had 16 phenix and 11 shadow

would be nice if you could build cons, for a cloaky or hveh lab to reclaim, and more airpads/nanos (i needed 2-3 times as many pads if i was going to go large scale chain bombing with the phenix, the 2 front pads became full really quickly)

:D also 14 min 45 sec, fastest time to complete XD

btw: still have fastest comlete time, why are all of you so slow? stop farming score

Because score is based on damage, not on time... so its not possible to improve time without improving score to replace previous entry. So, stop bragging about your time... people are playing the mission as intended, by maximizing score :)

I think you can play the mission in any way you want.

If you want to be competitive about it then feel free to either maximize score or minimize time. They're both valid comparisons but it's pointless comparing an attempt to do one with an attempt to do the other.

The problem is the score board... which only records best score per player. Maybe you can alter the score board to also record the best time, so we have dual scoring? As it is, I can't improve my time...

I've wanted to fix the scoring system so you get more points the faster you kill the Bantha.

Hadn't had time, though. Being employed sucks sometimes :(

I did exactly the opposite... I kept the bantha alive and emped, in order to farm score on cheaper units...

Finally got around to implementing score for time. Each minute is worth 9000 points, so farming should be a slight net loss.
