I have finally upgraded my PC and am about to switch from spectator mode back to player mode.

After setting the "Game details" in ZKLobby from super low to high / ultra I still seem to be missing some effects:

- there are not flames coming out of plane & gunship engines
- crabe projectile explosions no longer seem to have this neat little distortion shockwave
- no wobble effect around singus

Is there some magic spring setting I am missing?

checklist:
- nvidia instead of amd gpu
- latest gpu drivers
- no (obvious?) error in infolog
- other effects like cloak and shield wobble are working just fine

I dont know much about this type of stuff but what you described sounds like the lua fx but in your infolog it says:
">> Loaded gadget: Thrusters lups_thrusters.lua"

and you also loaded lups and the lups manager widget seemed to activate (maybe you could double check that it is turned on) so I'm not sure what is issue

isn't the "wobble effect" just the camera shake widget?

Edit: I dont have that fancy crabe ripple either, I forgot that existed, I think I might be missing same thing as you o.0

As far as I can tell: everything lups-related is enabled. I have even tried turning it off and on again :)

I don't mean the singu explosion (which will probably make the camera shake?). An active singu used to make the air around the sphere wobble.

All of these things are LUPS. You likely also don't get the shiny translucent cloak effect, instead getting the old alpha faded units.

I think the method to enable LUPS is setting WidgetDetailLevel over 3 in springsettings. Possibly there are others but i'm not aware of those.

I do see the shiny translucent cloak effect.

Setting the widgetDetailLevel to 3 or 4 makes no difference.

With engine version 98.0.1-403 I can see flames coming out of plane engines again.
