Heres the crash/ error log that comes up:

I've ran apt-get update and upgrade and this still happens, so I don't think it is an issue on my computer

Is this an issue with mono?
can I prevent this issue from occurring again?
I'm running Ubuntu 14.04(if thats relevant)

Taking screenshots of easily selectable text is ugh...

It wouldn't let me post the error log
because it is "potentially dangerous" or something

Do you actually have those files /home/simon/libsteam_api.so and libCSteamworks.so? Maybe try moving them somewhere else so ZK does not find them.
Also, can you post the file mono-packages.txt after this command:
quote:

dpkg -l | grep mono > mono-packages.txt

Cool, so can you try either copying zero-k.exe somewhere else and running there, or moving (deleting) those .so files? Your mono looks good.

well, zk lobby hasn't crashed yet, so...I guess that fixed it.
Thanks for you help :)

Sure, no problem.
Of course the real reason for this is probably some Steam version thing, but trying to fix that is much harder than just getting the game working without the Steam stuff :)
