1.)
Blame You have PLDT.
Reason: Notorious liar of down rates according to my sources. There was an explanation of this practice that I have since forgotten. Do not attempt to call IT. They'll just redirect you to some speedtest site which will give you false information. Unknown what causes this phenomenon.
2.) Server Congestion. Unlikely.
3.) Something on your end.
4.) Sometimes download speed will just tank. Unknown why this happens. For instance, despite having 35mbps down, I sometimes get 100kbps.
I'd go with #1 as my best guess. Nothing you can do about it except hope and/or pray that your connection gets better. There's nothing the devs here can do about it. You could try downloading straight from github though
link (Will this work?)
Edit:
If rapid uses torrents, your download speed is due to PLDT throttling torrent download speed and/or shady business practices. Ask for a VPN exception and try again with a VPN. Thank you for reading this and have a nice day.
