I think ZK needs a widget with bunch of common labels and messages. I mean this thing like in CS where u can press special combination and say "Bomb is on A" and stuff like that.
Code for the widget is super simple, but what messages should it contains and on which shortcuts?

For now I have a few ideas:
AA/AA-zone - point places covered by enemies AA
Low-hp com/Low-hp target - point an important target with low hp (if this place in LoS that white hp like "Low-hp target 120")
Assist
Help
Porc
Air

I forgot about this idea, since I noticed StarCraft 2's ping system uses a similar gesture menu to select ping types. Given that labels are more flexible it would be a bit more involved to set up the interface (I guess `+ MMB click&hold?), but the idea seems really useful.

It could be merged with that widget that draws stuff, like kriting a big elaborated X on a "bomb here" label, an arrow on advance, or just a trollface to point a successfully enemy comm skuttled.

I could find at least two topics to common taunts or short language in ZeroK.
Normally such thread starters get banned for not using forum search. But in this case it is okay I think.

Threatdar did this.. didn't get a very warm reception. Too spammy.

@_Shaman, it shouldn't be automatic. It should just a kind of shortcut for typeing "bomb dis low hp com".

Less automation is more work. You don't have time to push a button while doing 59750 different things. Automation alerts you to potential threats so you keep lucid about the situation. Your suggestion fails if you aren't totally aware of things.

I'm sure there's a way to make it less spammy.

This only holds true if the automation improves your ability to process information. For example a naive widget which labels low health units does not tell you how easily you could kill the unit and how important it is to kill it. If the widget spends most of its time labeling poor targets then players will ignore it and probably get annoyed.

In short, it is better for a player to manually label good targets and miss some opportunities than it is for a widget to over-label.
